Long time back I heard a story, which says about attitude. When a natural calamity washed away the whole crop in the farm of a poor farmer, his son is devastated how they will survive. But the farmer, who sweats the whole year in the farm, just looked at sky, and said with utmost serenity, “dear God! I am utmost thankful to you, you left enough seed for the next year crop!” If that is called perseverance and goal orientation with a spiritual enlightenment, then that’s what I have seen in SRINIVASU CHAKRAVARTHULA…a.k.a SRINI by some of us!
Many people talk about disabilities, personal and professional loses indifferences and insults. Some live with it cursing every moment. SOME SURVIVE THEM. BUT RARE PERSONS LIKE SRINI… SURVIVES AND SHOW GUIDANCE TO OTHERS TOO!
Meet Mr. Srinivasu Chakravarthula,
Senior Web Accessibility Manage @ Yahoo, Bangalore,
Middle son of a highly devout couple,
An adorable brother,
A shrewd manager,
An award winner for his work in accessibility field,
A web and life enthusiast,
A great human being in showing the right way to persons with disabilities,
A person who calls a spade a spade when it comes to work
THE SOON TO BE HUSBAND OF MS. HEMALATHA (they will be married by the time you all have read this! both are counting hours equally!)
The grit with which srini leads his life is just a lesson to me, a highly spiritually inclined person, he is very practical in the way the web accessibility is going to help staggering 1 billion disabled and many elders with eye sight problems and many more persons who have access difficulties in accessing the World Wide Web and many so called normal persons who wants a more happening and exiting career option. It’s not easy doing a pioneering work in a country like India. I really salute persons like srini who hides their disappointment at the speed of progress under veneer of their humor and still carry on immense work.
He guided me thru web management in just two phone calls, but srini, I will always be a student with your speed in assessing and accessing technology. Thanks to you for accepting a student like me! Srini helps me a lot in our work in Global AID.
I am really happy; he found his soul mate in Hema, Elder daughter of Mrs. Vani Kumari of tanuku. I met her once. Her sweet disposition and wonderful attitude towards being an emotional support system and just great love towards family left a lasting impression on me. I am sure that the couple will not only be a role model to many but they will help many persons with disabilities find their future in web accessibility. And unfortunately, due to my health I am unable attend their wedding. But my mind and heart will be there only. My husband Anand, Great fan of Hema for her simplicity and understanding, (like I am for srini) joins with me in blessing them!
Dear Hema and Srini- DISABILITY IS NOT A MAJOR HINDRANCE, ITS JUST A MINOR INCONVENIENCE, ONE HAS TO ADOPT, ACCEPT AND GROW FROM THERE. You set such a wonderful example of such friendship.
MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS WITH GREAT ACCESS TO HEALTH, WEALTH & BLISS!
Dear friends, many of you know srini- bless the couple, pray for their happiness, give them your best wishes, your friendship always. In this jet age of communication, somewhere if many hearts get motivated to accept disability as part of their life, love them with open heart and live a transparent life, that’s the best gift we can give to the new couple!!
You can as well leave a comment/compliment here, which will be delivered to them with extra layer of love!
Love you both dear!!
[P.S: I still didn’t learnt how to make this blog accessible according to standards, my professor is busy with his marriage & his better half-to-be !!]
